Coming Soon To Your Kitchen/Bath

The following new items were featured in This Old House Kitchen & Bath Issue, July/August 2003. Enjoy dreaming!!

Beyond classic good looks, the Moen Aberdeen faucet specialty is filling vessels outside the sink. Just pull down the ergonomically designed spout (it extends as much as 29 inches!), push the pause button, and you can "interrupt" the flow of water as the wand passes out of the sink. That “pause button” is a first! Faucets are available in single– or double-handle models in a multitude of finishes. Prices range from $399 to $550/ for more information.

Another nifty item is the new Maytag® Neptune® TL washer. They completely removed the agitator, creating a revolutionary wash system that protects fabrics as it cleans. So you don’t have to compromise clothes care to get outstanding cleaning with every load. Best of all, no agitator means more room for bulky items. The high efficiency machine uses 40 percent less energy and 50 percent less water than standard washing machines. Prices range from $999 to $1,299/ for more information.

From Dacor comes a 30" dishwasher (24” dishwashers have been the norm for home use). This extra sizing (40 percent more) allows you to confidently fill every chair around the dinner table. With 20+ place settings in one fast load you spend more time entertaining and less time cleaning up. Your finest china and glassware microscopically clean. And peacefully quiet so you can enjoy those delicious after-dinner stories. You can, of course, customize with a front panel that matches your cabinetry. Priced at $2,499/ for more information.

Last, but not least, is this versatile prep sink, bar sink, beverage cooler… whatever you want! Kohler’s Undertone trough stainless steel sinks take functionality to a higher level in the kitchen. Featuring four distinctive length options (22” to 60”), this trough sink allows ultimate flexibility when designing a custom workspace. Wire racks and rinse baskets are included to maximize efficiency. Priced $550 to $1,000/
